Description:		The important, clinically-relevant concepts about the basic nature of viruses, such as their biological processes, the diseases they cause in animals, and the methods of diagnosis and control of viral disease. An attempt is made to cover the more important veterinary viral diseases, and those that represent instructive examples of basic concepts in viral disease.
