Course Title:Medical Terminology for the Child Life Profession
Course
Description:
Course will expand students’ knowledge of medical terminology relevant to the practice of child life in hospitals and other clinical healthcare settings. Child life students will be familiarized with parts of words (roots, combining forms, suffixes, and prefixes) in order to build a foundational knowledge of common terminology in subspecialties of pediatric healthcare. Provides opportunities to practice explaining medical terminology and medical procedures in the developmentally appropriate language for children of different ages.
