The etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, control, and treatment of infectious diseases of poultry. General aspects of biosecurity, food safety, welfare, and population medicine in commercial poultry.

Nontraditional Format:This course will be offered as a regular elective course with class lectures and one laboratory practicum to include basic bird anatomy, bird handling, and sampling and postmortem examination techniques.
