Description:
As a class, record an album for commercial release for a Hugh Hodgson School of Music ensemble. Topics include pre-production, venue assessment, positioning of performers, mic techniques, use of spot mics, recording “takes,” the roles of the engineer and producer, creating an Edit Decision List (EDL), editing, and mixing/mastering.
