Course Description: | Supervised experience in advertising and public relations. Interns are required to work for the student-led advertising and public relations agency and to complete a journal describing weekly assignments and/or a portfolio of completed work. Performance is evaluated by agency clients and the assigned faculty supervisor. |

Course Objectives: | Provide practical experience in advertising and public relations using the information and skills learned in classes. Depending on the job description the student is assigned, the course could contribute to any or several of the outcomes listed by the department. |
Topical Outline: | Work assignments will vary with the job assignment, but the student is expected to keep and turn in a week-by-week account of what they did, maintain a portfolio of any work produced, and write an assessment of the value of the experience to their career aspirations. |
