Course Objectives: | Develop an understanding of the basis for and determination of
nutrient requirements. Provide an introduction to the current
research literature in monogastric nutrition. Develop oral and
written communication skills related to nutrition research. |
Topical Outline: | This is an online class that will be taught asynchronously in
the Ag*Idea Program. The course is one of five courses that
students take toward earning a certificate in Animal Science.
Course material will consist of recorded lectures and other
material.
Lectures will be opened during the course of the semester and
have been organized into 11 modules of either 1 or 2 weeks.
There will be a quiz at the end of each module and a
cumulative final exam. In addition, students will be required
to make a presentation and successfully complete a feed
formulation segment. Lecture modules are:
