Course Description: | Identifying and selecting evaluation models, planning an
evaluation, collecting and analyzing evaluation data using
various qualitative and quantitative methods relating evaluation
to program change for agricultural and extension educational

Course Objectives: | At the completion of the course, the learner will be able to:
1. Identify the specific aspects of an educational activity or
program to evaluate.
1. Apply the appropriate evaluation methods to measure activity
or program effectiveness.
2. Describe the value in theoretical models when planning and
conducting an evaluation.
3. Develop a questionnaire to effectively determine the
effectiveness of a program.
4. Collect, analyze, and interpret questionnaire data with
reliability, construct validity, and item discrimination in mind.
5. Explain program evaluation terminology to someone not trained
in evaluation.
6. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop an
evaluation plan.
7. Prepare informational resources to enhance an organization’s
evaluation capacity.
8. Serve as a valuable resource/consultant for individuals and
organizations interested in evaluating educational activities and
programs.
9. Share evaluation recommendations with clientele in a formal
presentation. |
