Course Objectives: | Students will be able to:
1. Summarize the historical context for health policy analysis
in the United States;
2. Discuss contemporary issues in health policy at the state,
national, and international levels of public health policy
making;
3. Understand and discuss multiple theoretical frameworks for
developing public health policies;
4. Apply a rational 9-step approach for prospectively
conducting a policy analysis;
5. Develop and present legislative impact analyses and policy
memos for influencing the decision-making process in public
health. |
