Course Objectives: | 1. Participants will be introduced to major approaches to
environmental health, health promotion and behavior,
gerontology, biostatistics, epidemiology, and health policy and
management.
2. Participants will learn to identify major organizations and
institutions of public health.
3. Participants will develop an understanding of the broad
range of professional expertise required in public health.
4. Participants will learn about current problems and issues
facing local, state, national and international health. |
Topical Outline: | Each semester will include at least one (and usually two)
seminar speakers on each of the following topics:
environmental health
health promotion and behavior
gerontology
biostatistics
epidemiology
health policy
