Course Title: | Neuroscience for the Health Professions |
Course Description: | This course is for any student who is considering a professional
degree in the health sciences. Topics on the nervous system
anatomy and physiology will be presented. This course will prepare
students for the neuroscience courses in the professional program
and may also satisfy some of the prerequisites for admission to
the professional curriculum. |

Course Objectives: | Students will be presented with weekly online material covering
topics listed below. Learning material will be presented in the
form of a pdf, webpage, or a video. Students will have access to
eLC for this class. They will be tested on the material
presented and their overall understanding of cell biology. There
will be 3 exams, weekly online quizzes, and discussion posts.
Discussion posts are 2 points each. Students have to participate
in at least 10 different weekly posts. Exams are 50 points each
and quizzes are 10 points each for a total of 300 points. |
