Course Objectives: | The course objectives is to introduce students to the languages, cultures, folklore,
orature, and literature of East Africa and West Africa, with emphasis on the
Swahili speaking people of East Africa and the Yoruba speaking people of West
Africa. Students will learn about these cultures through literary works, dramatic
and documentary films, and historical and critical essays and studies. |
