| Course Objectives: | The primary purpose of the course is to facilitate students' development of career
planning competencies. A secondary purpose is to introduce students to career
planning and job search resources on campus. The purpose will be achieved to the
degree that students (1) enhance their own understanding of personal career goals,
(2) increase their knowledge and ability to use career information and planning and
disseminating resources, (3) increase their awareness and ability to use practical
job hunting strategies and techniques, (4) improve their understanding and use of
technology for gathering career information, (5) develop resume writing and
interviewing skills, (6) develop skills in contacting employers via technology, in
