Course Objectives: | Students will:
1. Differentiate between games and free play.
2. Become familiar with the emerging literature on games for
learning, serious gaming, and gamification.
3. Experience multiple uses of games for learning in class.
4. Learn how to assess learning resulting from games.
5. Develop a professional game pitch demonstrating their
understanding of how to weave learning into game play.
6. Complete a literature review or design a learning experience
showing how gaming can be used for learning in their content
area/context of interest. |
