Course Objectives: | The objective of the course is for the student to create an
applied research project on a topic related to educational or
social issues. The goal of this project is for the student to
combine his or her learning from Ed.S. coursework to address an
educational or societal issue. The student will create a written
report on his or her applied topic and, when possible,
implement and evaluate these applied ideas using advanced
statistics or qualitative methods in a manner which shows
advanced knowledge of these topics. |
Topical Outline: | 1. Creating short proposal of applied project to Ed.S.
committee using APA style.
2. Seeking IRB approval for project (if needed).
3. Implementing an applied project.
4. Using advanced quantitative or qualitative methods to
evaluate the application.
4. Writing an applied project report using APA style.
5. Submitting a report to committee for approval. |
