Course Title: | Vegetable Crop Production |
Course Description: | The commercial production of vegetables, including planning and management for sustainable and profitable vegetable enterprises, emphasizing research-based practices. Topics include traditional and alternative production systems, such as organics, hydroponics, no-till and plastic culture, and other current practices. |

Course Objectives: | In this course, students will:
1) Understand the process of planning for and planting a commercial vegetable crop.
2) Critique a research journal article.
3) Develop a production outline for assigned vegetable crop.
4) Compare two alternative vegetable production methods. |
