Course Description: | Structure and function of the human musculoskeletal system.
Emphasis will be placed on clinical understanding of basic
human musculoskeletal anatomy and its implications for joint
and body movement. |

Course Objectives: | Students will be able to:
•Name, explain, and demonstrate anatomical terms, planes, axes,
and actions
•Locate and identify specific bony landmarks on the axial and
appendicular skeleton
•Locate and identify origin, insertion, action and innervation
of axial and appendicular skeletal muscles
•Locate, identify, and explain joint structures, functions, and
movements, including ligaments and other soft tissue structures
•Relate superficial anatomy to its underlying structure and
function
•Gain an appreciation of functional anatomy and clinical
applications to Kinesiology |
