Course Objectives: | • Understand the role of diet, nutrition, and lifestyle in the
prevention and progression of diseases
• Understand recommendations for a healthy lifestyle based on
the latest scientific evidence
• Develop nutrition education materials and resources specific
for chronic disease prevention and management
• Synthesize and communicate the relationship of diet and
nutrition to specific diseases
• Incorporate knowledge and understanding of the principles of
nutrition to the prevention and treatment of specific diseases
• Describe the relationship between diet and health-related
diseases
• Explain the importance of healthy diet and nutrition in
disease prevention |
