Course Objectives: | This course will cover special topics which are not covered in other courses
available in local government administration. Possible topics would include urban
development policy, law enforcement, personnel systems, local government finance
(to include revenue collection and fiscal crises), and planning and zoning.
Depending on the topic in question, the student will be able to develop a more
focused expertise which will enable him/her to develop knowledge of urban systems
in the United States more extensively. |

offered but a possible outline for a course entitled "The Urban Fiscal Crisis"
