•Develop an understanding of the complex relationship of people
and the environment
•Understand major issues and human dimensional aspects of
various human-environmental settings

•Demonstrate the ability to discuss the subject area through
various frames, such as settings (garden, home, street),
human evolution, particular groups’ needs (elderly, children,
ethnic groups), and power dimensions (economics, environmental
justice), and gender

•Gain a critical understanding of normative theories that
