- Students who have not met the Georgia and U.S. Constitution requirement by examination should enroll in POLS 1101 or POLS 1101E or POLS 1101H.
- A passing grade on an examination on the history of the United States and Georgia is required to satisfy the United States and Georgia History Requirement for all persons receiving a baccalaureate degree from the University, unless exempted by one of the following courses: HIST 2111, HIST 2111E, HIST 2111H, HIST 2112, HIST 2112E, HIST 2112H, HIST 3080H. Entrance Requirements Students will be provisional majors until they have completed ARST 1050 (or ARST 1050H), ARST 1060, and ARST 1080 (with a grade of C (2.0) or better), and have been accepted into the Interior Design concentration through portfolio review. Students entering with pre-existing college credit must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5. Completion of Core Areas I-V should be done simultaneously with the completion of the 4-year B.F.A. program. This is a high-demand major. After meeting the entrance requirements, students will be selected based on the following high-demand selection criteria.

Major Requirements
|
A baccalaureate degree program must require at least 21 semester hours of upper division courses in the major field and at least 39 semester hours of upper division work overall. Students in the Franklin College must earn a grade of "C" (2.0) or better in major required courses.
Major Electives (12 hours) Choose nine (9) hours of studio electives: ARST, ARID, or ARGD 2000-level or above* (except ARGD 3070) or approved studio courses from other disciplines. Choose three (3) hours of 3000-level ARHI courses.
*Non-equivalent transfer courses (ARST 1T01 to ARST 5T99) will not satisfy this requirement
