a) A minor must contain at least 9 hours of upper division course work. b) Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas I through V may not be counted as course work in the minor. c) Courses taken in Core Area VI may be counted as course work in the minor.
Comparative Literature and Intercultural Studies is the study of common features in the literature, cinema, and other forms of cultural production across national and regional boundaries from an intercultural, interdisciplinary, and global perspective. The minor will provide students with interpretive tools to analyze and compare several of the world's major systems of values and beliefs through the study of select literary, philosophical, and sociopolitical texts. A minor in Comparative Literature and Intercultural Studies shall consist of 15 credit hours.
