Program Description

a) A minor must contain at least 9 hours of upper division course work. b) Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas I through V may not be counted as course work in the minor. c) Courses taken in Core Area VI may be counted as course work in the minor.

Geography is the science of place and space. Geographers ask where things are located on the surface of the earth, why they are located where they are, how places differ from one another, and how people interact with the environment. It is a broad field that welcomes thinking in an interdisciplinary way about the physical and social processes that shape life on Earth.
