Course Objectives: | This course mainly provides students with an opportunity to
apply mathematics, science and engineering principles to solve
a meaningful civil engineering design problem that involves
meeting real-world needs while overcoming practical
constraints. Students will also be introduced to the
requirements of the FE exam and made aware of career choices
available to them. |
Topical Outline: | This course is designed to provide students with a complete
engineering design experience, including problem definition,
concept development and detailed design with an emphasis on
overcoming real-world constraints. The lecture component of the
course will serve as a review for the FE exam and provide
career counseling. |
