Graduate Certificate in International Biomedical Regulatory Sciences

Program Description

The Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Regulatory Sciences provides a foundational core for students who wish to round out their experiences in Regulatory Sciences or transition into entry level Regulatory Sciences positions. This specialized education is crucial to professionals to gain and maintain an understanding of the scientific and technical background of new or existing healthcare products.

At the close of the program, the learners will be able to outline the product development process of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA); locate information necessary to perform in the role of the regulatory Sciences professional; and distinguish between the subjective and interpretive aspects of the FDA regulations. The learners will also be able to categorize the complex interaction between regulatory and development processes; explain how the FDA enforces the laws and regulations; and interpret FDA laws and regulations. Students will be able to write methods and procedures complying with FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practices regulations; gain an awareness of conflicts of interest and scientific integrity; and be able to identify the principles used in the ethical conduct of research.
