A minor must contain at least 9 hours of upper division course work. Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas I through V may not be counted as course work in the minor. Courses taken in Core Area VI may be counted as course work in the minor. Plant pathology courses and programs are relevant to students in the agricultural sciences who wish to learn about identifying and managing diseases of plants. For students interested in the broader biological sciences, plant pathology provides a foundation for understanding microbial ecology, disease cycles, and host-microbe interactions.
