Academic Common Market

The Academic Common Market is a tuition-savings program for college students in 15 states who want to pursue degrees that are not offered by public institutions in their home state. Students can enroll in out-of-state institutions and pay the institution’s in-state tuition rates for more than 2,200 undergraduate and graduate programs.

The mission of the Office of Academic Honesty and Student Appeals is to serve the University of Georgia community, promote student learning and foster responsible scholarship by providing education, information, and best practices for promoting and preserving the academic integrity of the university; responding promptly and in accordance with university policy when suspected academic dishonesty is reported; and providing assistance, information and resources to students regarding university academic policies and procedures.

The University Testing Services adheres to the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines to maintain the integrity of the organization.


UGA Libraries

The purpose of the University of Georgia Libraries is to advance the University’s mission by providing the best possible access to recorded knowledge, actively contribute to the success of students and faculty through teaching and research services provided in physical and virtual environments that enhance learning and intellectual creativity, and exemplify the University’s strategic priority to serve the citizens of Georgia and beyond.

The Libraries provide their services at nine locations on the Athens campus, among them the Main Library, Zell B. Miller Learning Center, McBay Science Library, Russell Special Collections Building, and Health Sciences Carnegie Library, which receive more than three million visits per year. They offer extensive hours, including 24 hour operation at the Miller Learning Center.


Undergraduate Academic Advising

Academic advising is a mandatory and essential part of the undergraduate educational experience and helps students attain their academic goals. Both faculty and professional academic advisors serve this important role in undergraduate education at the University of Georgia. Advisors help students understand the options and opportunities for academic programs of study, degree requirements, academic resources, and course selection. Advisors are key advocates in fostering a climate of high academic expectations at the University of Georgia and will support and encourage a challenging and successful undergraduate education.


Veteran’s Certification

Veterans Services assists students receiving VA Educational Benefits by processing educational benefit forms such as enrollment certifications, advising students on procedures pertaining to their educational benefits, and providing assistance to students who must withdraw from the University because they are called to active duty and then with the readmission process when they return to the University. Veterans Services at the University of Georgia is not a division of, or directly affiliated, with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
