Required documents for this program include transcripts, a resume, and a statement of purpose. All documents should be uploaded to application portal. Students who have completed an undergraduate degree with a GPA of 3.2 or above are exempt from the GRE requirement.

Choose 27 credit hour(s) from the following:

Education elective coursework. Possibilities include additional Social Studies education courses; courses in educational technology, education psychology, literacy, ESOL pedagogy, educational law, etc. Students may also use these elective courses to pursue endorsements in reading education, ESOL, or gifted education.

On-Campus Program

Students enrolled in the on-campus program will need over 50% of their courses to take place in-person.

Exit Requirements

In the last semester of the M.Ed. program, students complete a comprehensive exam.

Select additional courses, as needed, in consultation with an advisor to meet the minimum number of required credit hours for this program.

Depending on your school district, completion of this program may lead to a T-5 certification upgrade for students who hold a clear renewable T-4 teacher certification.
