  • A passing grade on an examination on the history of the United States and Georgia is required to satisfy the United States and Georgia History Requirement for all persons receiving a baccalaureate degree from the University, unless exempted by one of the following courses: HIST 2111, HIST 2111E, HIST 2111H, HIST 2112, HIST 2112E, HIST 2112H, HIST 3080H. Examinations are given at University Testing Services. Reexamination is permitted. Contact University Testing Services at (706) 542-3183 for information.

Entrance Requirements
Completion of Core Areas I-V and Area VI, 60 hours earned, and overall grade point average equivalent to the UGA transfer grade point average for the semester of application are required to apply. Students may apply if they are enrolled in course work that fulfills these outstanding requirements. Acceptance in the major is contingent on satisfactory completion of in-progress work.

Courses must be satisfied with a grade of "C" (2.0) or higher.
Choose seven (3 hour) business courses 3000-level or above from the following, with no more than three courses from any one business prefix: ACCTBUSN, ECON, ENTR, FINA, ILADINTB, LEGL, MARKMBUSMGMT, MISTREAL, or RMIN. General Business majors may also choose up to two 3-hour courses (6 hours) of 3000 level or higher FHCE coursework to satisfy Major Required area.

General Electives – Upper Division (12 hours)
Complete 12 hours of courses numbered 3000-5999. At least 3 hours must be in residence from a Terry College course prefix (ACCT, BUSN, ECON, ENTR, FINA, ILAD, INTB, LEGL, MARK, MBUS, MGMT, MIST, REAL, or RMIN)* and the additional 9 hours can be from any prefix. Students may also transfer any 3000-level or above business prefix course(s). 

*Students in a Double Dawgs program may also use 6000- and 7000-level Terry College prefix courses to satisfy this requirement. Please see your advisor for additional information.


General Electives – University Wide (Non-Business) (12 hours)
Complete a minimum of 12 hours of 1000-level and above courses*, excluding courses with the following prefixes: ACCT, BUSNECONENTR, FINA, ILAD, INTB, LEGL, MARK, MBUS, MGMT, MIST, REAL, or RMIN.
 
*Students in a Double Dawgs program may also use 6000- and 7000-level courses from outside Terry College to satisfy this requirement. These courses cannot count as Upper Division General Electives. Please see your advisor for additional information.

Terry Economics Requirement: Any 3-hour course with the ECON prefix, including non-equivalent transfer courses (excludes ECON 2105 or ECON 2105E or ECON 2105H and ECON 2106 or ECON 2106H or ECON 2106E)

Precalculus Requirement: MATH 1113 or MATH 1113E or MATH 2110 or MATH 2110E or MATH 2200 or MATH 2250 or MATH 2250E or MATH 2260 or MATH 2260E

Terry GPA: 2.0 on all Terry prefix courses taken at UGA that are being applied towards the completion of the BBA degree.
