Professional School Counseling EDS

Program Description

The Professional School Counseling Ed.S. program on the Gwinnett campus is for practicing school counselors in public elementary, middle, and secondary schools who would like to improve their knowledge and skills in the areas of clinical skills, multicultural counseling and awareness, advocacy, leadership, and developing targeted and evidence-based interventions. The Professional School Counseling Ed.S. program follows a scholar-practitioners-advocate model, meaning that graduates prepare to build and coordinate data-driven, evidence-based, comprehensive school counseling programs that are developmentally appropriate and accessible to all students, while being particularly responsive to underserved populations.
