Minor in Global Health

Program Description

A minor must contain at least 9 hours of upper division course work (3000-level or above). No more than 3 credits will be allowed from courses below 3000-level. All courses used to satisfy the minor must be passed with a grade of "C" or better. Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas I through V may not be counted as course work in the minor.

The Global Health Minor provides students with a better understanding of the concept of "global health" and how by its nature holds significant health implications for all individuals. Students will increase their understanding of the global character of health problems, examine multi-disciplinary approaches to solving global health problems, and develop knowledge that will assist in advocacy for the promotion of the solution of global health problems.
