The Minor in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences provides students with a solid foundation in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, exploring how drugs interact with the body—from discovery to delivery and treatment. By combining pharmaceutical and biomedical concepts, this minor prepares students for careers or advanced study in research, healthcare, pharmacy, biotechnology, and more. Designed for flexibility, this minor complements a wide range of majors—both science and non-science—offering a unique opportunity to engage with the scientific and practical aspects of drugs and biomedical innovations. Whether pursuing engineering, nutrition, pharmacy, medicine, nursing, regulatory affairs, business, or marketing, students gain the skills and knowledge to advance their academic and professional goals.
A minor must contain at least 9 hours of upper division course work. Courses taken to satisfy Core Areas I through V may not be counted as course work in the minor. Courses taken in Core Area VI may be counted as course work in the minor.
