The program in educational administration and policy prepares students for careers as educational policy analysts, researchers, college and university faculty, and school administrators.

Graduate students may transfer 9 hours to the graduate program of study with program approval.

Qualified students will be nominated for program-specific scholarships and awards Students are encouraged to apply for Graduate School awards.

Students are encouraged to pursue research opportunities outside of Athens, when appropriate and in consultation with their committees.

The program requires students to complete a 3-credit hour (minimum) apprenticeship or internship. Students will work with advisers to identify and obtain opportunities.

Students are encouraged to present their research at conferences, professional meetings, and symposia. The LEAP department and Graduate School have funds available to defray travel expenses for students who present.

LEAP Graduate Student Network (GSN) is the student group for the LEAP department.
