Workforce Education BSED

Overview

This program prepares students for a professional four-year certificate in Georgia for teaching grades 6-12. Requirements and prerequisites in the teaching field should be considered in choosing courses in the first and second years. All prospective teachers should plan their program with their advisor. Students must maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 and earn a C or better in all area VI and professional sequence courses. The Workforce Education program has one cohort starting each fall semester. Each cohort consists of four semesters of course work, including one semester of student teaching. The college hosts an internal teacher education application which should be completed by students in this program in the spring of the second year.
