Agricultural Education BSA

Overview

Students in Agricultural Education complete an approved program of course work in the agricultural sciences and teacher education. A school practicum involves observation of agricultural instruction at schools across the state. The practicum helps students understand the job of teaching agriculture, make career choices, and select a student teaching center. Apprentice teaching (student teaching) is carried out in an approved secondary school center under the daily supervision of an experienced and successful teacher of agriculture. Supervision is also provided by University of Georgia Agricultural Education faculty.
