Elementary Education BSED



Overview

This program prepares students for a professional four-year certificate in Georgia for teaching grades P-5. Requirements and prerequisites in the teaching field should be considered in choosing courses in the first and second years. All prospective teachers should plan their program with their advisor. Students must maintain an overall GPA of 2.8 and earn a grade of "C" (2.0) or better in all Area VI and professional sequence courses. Students must apply for this restricted major. The Elementary Education program has three cohorts starting each semester. Each cohort consists of four semesters of course work, including one semester of student teaching. Applicants must apply for a specific fall or spring semester.
